La Petite Maison's Drink – How to Make It

We present an easy interpretation of a beverage from our latest menu. It's a batch premix which is packed full of tastes of the Christmas time, which makes it perfect for a festive gathering. Save the extra citrus syrup for morning drinks, desserts, or for more rounds of bikinis.

The Bikini Cocktail

Yields 10 guests

Ingredients for the Clementine Syrup (produces 750ml)

300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar

To make the Cocktail (makes 850ml, enough for 10)

400ml decent vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine cordial (as made above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing

Directions

To prepare the Cordial: Place the listed ingredients in a saucepan, heat until it reaches a simmer, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Next, take off the burner and leave to reach room temperature completely. Transfer to a sterilised bottle, close it keeping it chilled, where it will keep for around one month.

Preparing the Batch Mix: Pour all the spirits and syrup into one sizeable container, let it rest for 60 minutes, then strain preferably using a fine cloth, so it's perfectly clear.

To serve: Pour 85ml of the batch mix to a cocktail shaker packed with ice, and agitate gently for a minute to chill. Pour into an frosted cocktail glass or a similar vessel, top with a few cranberries and complete it by giving it a light spray of mandarin oil over the top.
